Tyranid Devouring Swarm
The Devouring Swarm is one of the main attack swarms designed to devour the enemy as quickly as possible. Controlled by a three groups of Tyranid Warriors armed Death Spitters and Scything claws, they drive the mass of Tergants forward blasting away with their Flesh Borers and Devourers, absorbing any incoming fire. Once close with the enemy, the wave of Hormagaunts leap over to engage with their talons. The two Carnifex joins the carnage, heading towards the tougher enemy.

The two Carnifex that form the heavy hitters of the Devouring Plague. Their primary objective is to get into close combat and take out the heavier opponents or cause mayhem. The first has an adrenal gland and a tail mace while the second has tusks and a tail scythe. Both have four scything claws.
