Tyranids Independant Creatures
These Tyranids can act independant of any Synaptic Creatures that normally limit the lesser broods and furfil specialised roles within the Tyranid Army.
Genestealers
The Broodlord is a product of continual evolution of the Genestealer race with lightening-fast reflects and frightening strength. Leading a large swarm of ferocious close combat Genestealers, they infliltrate enemy positions before launching a devastating assault on the elements of the enemy most dangerous to the main Tyranid army.
Red Terror and Ravener Group
Raveners are twisted snake-like creatures that have evolved with the ability to burrow through any substance with their spade-like scything talons. Sensing vibrations, they re-appear in a spray of earth right in front of the enemey position, their thorax-mounted weapon-symbiotes spitting out death. This group is lead by a red Ravener dubbed as the Red Terror when its was first sighted during the assault on Devlan, an Imperial mining world on the Eastern Fringe and is still unknown if this is one of a kind or there are more.
Zoanthropes Group
One of the rare Tyranid evolution, Zoanthropes are perhaps the strangest Tyranid creatures. They are powerful psykers apparently engineered from harvested alien lifeforms to form living condiuts for the focussed power of the Hive Mind. So extreme is their development that their bulbous heads are entirely energised by psychic force, moving across the battlefield to rain bolts of incandescent power on the enemy or relay the synapse commands of the Hive Mind to its lesser beasts.
